First and foremost, wash hands often for minimum 20 secs, and keep hands away from face.
If you plan on trying to disinfect your home or business yourself, read labels carefully. To be classified as a disinfectant you have to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses. But the time it takes to do so varies; ammonia chlorides such as Lysol take up to 10 minutes for certain pathogens on a clean non porous surface. The solution must remain wet during that entire period. Convenience wipes usually contain alcohols to speed drying but can dry too quickly to kill the virus.
